This antique sterling butter dish is classic style with a border with the Art Nouveau influence of flowers, with exceptional applied ornamental flowers, stems, and leaves on the front and on the back. It has an unique shape, very different from most butter dishes. The lid has a floral finial which unscrews from the inside with the original nut. It does have the original pierced plate. High 7"

The dies of this Tiffany pattern have been destroyed due to their poor condition, so there will be no more Vine pattern issued by Tiffany. It is a more casual pattern with the designs incorporating various types of realistic plant life which meander over the entire handle front, extending to the reverse. This piece is grape design.
It has a triple monogram, date letter T 1891-1902 period.
