It is unusual to have Rebecca At The Well shell cameos because scenic cameos are not often seen. The style pin on the back dates this cameo 1895. These Italian shell cameos were very popular during the 19th century when travel to the continent was so much in vogue. Women purchased them as momentos. 1/3/8" by 1 1/2" The cameo is set within a gold filled ribbon frame, typical of the period. Excellent condition. women purchased them as momentos of their trip.

Coffin spoons are very collectable, date 1795-1825 The maker's mark is very clear, C&P in a rectangle. According to Green's "Marks of American Silversmiths" it is probably William Cleveland, Norwich, Ct. and Zanesville, Ohio. and Post though Green offers no cartouche. c. 1805 There is a monogram. There are 12 very heavy weight spoons. English King is the heaviest Tiffany pattern. Length 7 3/4" Monogram: Single Old English letter (?). The reverse has a large shell at the base of the bowl, and the shank is the same as the front, something that is not seen on current silver. Marked Tiffany & C0 sterling Pat 1885 M They date about the turn of the century.
