The Portland Packet, Capt. Taylor beating off a French Cutter Privateer near Barbadoes. Designed and engraved by Ethies. Published 24 th April 1797 by John Fairburn, 146 Mineries, London. Cutter 16 guns 16 men; Packet 10 guns 32 men. All that is printed below the engraving. Slight discoloration in the center,but it looks worse in the picture. It has been rematted. Board backing. Great engraving showing action, a must if you are a marine collector.
