This piece of Medallion silver has a medallion with the head of Diana, particularly Grecian in its appearance. Medallion silver dates circa 1863. The makers are Wood & Hughes, the famous New York City silversmiths, noted for the excellence of their work. Vermeil bowl. The piercing is in the form of tiny stars. Length 7 5/8" No monogram. Please note- her face is dirty in the picture but not so on the sifter.
