Exotic set with vermeil shell bowls which are in excellent condition. Length 10 3/4" A majestic salad set. The long handle set is seldom seen in Versailles. The designs of this pattern were copied from tapestries in the Palais de Versailles in France. Gorham issued this pattern c. 1888. May be used separately to serve other foods from large bowls.

Hyde was probably from New York as there was a Hyde working there with Nevins 1815-1819. In 1816-1866 there was Hyde working with Goodrich. Excellent condition.
