A very attractive sterling silver piece on the table. Exceptional piercing with an interesting rim. Notice the beading on each side of the shank. That is not seen on current silver. Nice for serving small pancakes, French toast, and other foods as well as the tomato.
The six spoons are Gorham silver, marked copyrighted indicating early ones. Two have script monogram on the reverse, four no monogram, no removals. Length 7". The dies for this pattern were the most expensive that Gorham ever created. This ornate pattern was issued in 1888, inspired by the tapestries at the Palais de Versailles in France.
An unusually large sterling silver serving fork with five tines,length 9 1/4". No monogram. Vintage: 1903-1907 according to mark. Shank design is sharp.
