This antique silver is truly dinner size,is very showy on the table, distinguished by its fluted bowls reflecting light. Gorham did not offer ice teaspoons in their 1910 catalog. They were listed in the 1934 one so that tells you ice teaspoons were never marked copyrighted, were not offered until sometime after 1910. Designs of this antique sterling silver pattern Versailles,the most expensive sterling pattern issued by Gorham, were taken from the tapestries at the Palais de Versailles in France. These salad servers are fancy,an unique George Jensen sterling silver salad set. The vermeil bowls indicate that the set may have been made to order because Jensen silver is usually without a gold plating. An elegant set with embossed acorns at the base of the shanks. Length 8 3/4". It is marked George Jensen,sterling Denmark. The raised lettering on the hallmark indicates the time period to be c.1920.

This is a very heavy OLD VINTAGE Reed & Barton sterling set NOT a new one. The design is deeply sculptured. Length 9 5/8". The bowl is 3" x 3 1/2". That is a large scoop for your mashed potatoes. A salad set is a great investment as the fork and the spoon can be used separately as well as to serve a salad. Please notice that the fork does have piercing.

Dated on the back 1910, probably a gift to someone that year. Here is a stuffing spoon by Gorham with a button( knob of sterling silver) on the back. Old Colonial is a sterling silver pattern issued in 1895 by the famous Towle Silversmiths, formerly located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Here are nine sterling silver cocktail forks, prior 1930. No monograms, no removals. Please note the fine beading on the shanks. Scroll the catalog and you will see an interesting coin silver spoon by William Moulton IV working about 1858, one of the founders of Towle Silversmiths.
