The Silver Drawer offers coin silver flatware made by various silversmiths about 1865, including John Wendt, Gorham, Hotchkiss and Schreuder and the seldom seen California Schultz and Fischer This gravy ladle was made by the famous John Wendt whose pieces are usually seen with Ball, Black & Co.( New York City) stamped on the reverse as retailer. A kidney shaped serving spoon.Date mark M indicating 1869- 1907 Length 9 3/8" Due to age the piece has acquired a couple very shallow marks, not really dents, and when the spoon is on the table they only look like reflections on the silver. They could be removed by buffing, but the spoon has such a nice patina that it is destructive to do that. However, my standards force me to declare them. If unhappy you may return this Tifffany sterling piece with full refund including ship & Ins. e

The LARGER size sardine fork ,wonderful sterling piece for serving hors d'oeuvres. Attractive piercing. Back of the shank has embossed orange blossoms. Length 5 3/8" Almost 2 1/4" at widest point. No monogram. Marked on reverse with Alvin hallmark and the retailer A. Frankfield & Co. The retailer printed on the back tells you that this piece is a very early one as that mark has not been used for many, many years.

An oval shaped serving spoon, with a strawberry on the tip of the shank and on the reverse. Pattern is sharp with all the seeds on the berries. Monogram on reverse. Marked Pure Coin with a hallmark the center of which has the Durgin D in a diamond in the cartouche. Length 8 1/2" A scarce pattern.

This creamer dates Qing Period, second half of the 19th century. It measures 6 1/2" from the end of the snout across handle, 4 1/2" high to the top of the snout. It is hand decorated with colorful enamels on top of the glaze on a green background, depicting birds, flowers, and fruit. There is an excellent glaze. There are no marks on the bottom, none erased.

This lady's walnut rocker is crested with a very nice grape carving. The back has a row of tufting which does lend a very graceful Victorian look. The covering is spotless . The linen color ground has a mellowed maroon design . " The back of this chair is shaped so that it fits your back," the words of my father.
