BRITTISH GOLD  SOVEREIGN COIN BROOCH
The Elizabeth II Sovereign Commerative Coins were issued only in limited quantities as commerative coins with resale prices far exceeding their face value. One side has the head of Queen Elizabeth II, the other side has St. George, the patron saint of England, slewing the dragon The reign of Elizabeth II began in 1952. There were several coins issued at various stages of her reign. These coins depict her as a young woman in her ascension to the throne. Minting date 1958. RARE COINS TODAY. The designer was Benetto Pestrucci whose initials are marked by B.P. on each coin. These coins have a reeded edge, size 19.30mm, set in a 14 Karat gold bezel and bar pin
