KRIDER STUFFING SPOON
Wonderful for serving from large bowls as the button on the reverse keeps the spoon from slipping into the bowl. Length 12.50" Monogram "A" of the period. Krider served in the army in the Civil War, and at its end in 1865 he returned to the silver business Krider and Biddle located in Philadelphia, taking it over five years later. The spoon dates about 1875. Krider was one of the best silversmiths during that time. PLease note- the spot on the back of the spoon is not there. Marked P.L. Krider & Co. sterling.
